How to set up Groundwire for a Virtual Landline

Groundwire is a softphone that acts as a suitable addition to our Yealink phones whilst you’re on the go.

Requirements

To set up Groundwire, you need either:

  • A Virtual Landline, or
  • Hosted PBX

The only difference in setting up the app is how you obtain the login credentials.

Finding Your Credentials

  1. Go to your Invoco Portal
  2. Click on Settings
  3. You’ll then see this page:
    • At the top, you’ll see 5 boxes
    • Click on VoIP to reveal your credentials

You will now see the necessary details:
Username
Password
VoIP Server

Once you have this information, you will be able to access Groundwire on your iPhone.


Setting Up Groundwire

  1. Open the Groundwire app
  2. You’ll see the dial pad
  3. Click on the gear cog (top right)
  4. Tap on Accounts
  5. Click on the “+” icon
  6. Select “Generic SIP Account”

Entering Your Credentials

Once on the accounts page, fill in the boxes accordingly:

1️⃣ Username
2️⃣ Username
3️⃣ Password
4️⃣ VoIP Server: (voip.invoco.net)

Additional Settings:
Incoming Calls → Select “PUSH NOTIFICATIONS”, then click Back
Tap on “Advanced Settings”

Scroll down until you see “Display Name” and enter:

1️⃣ Username
2️⃣ Username
3️⃣ Transport Protocol → Select “TLS (SIP)”
4️⃣ Voicemail → Type in *97

Next, tap on Secure Calls (located four options below the voicemail setting) and:
✔ Enable Incoming Calls
✔ Select Outgoing Calls as Required

Once these options are selected, press “Done”


Final Adjustments

  1. Return to the Accounts Page
  2. Tap SettingsPreferences
  3. Tap Security → Turn “Maximum Security” off (it should show grey)
  4. Go back to PreferencesSound
  5. Turn all suppression features on (they should show green)
